Emergency Departments provide the “front line” of health care in this country, and serve an extraordinary public safety function. However, health care delivery in the country is changing rapidly, and emergency care is no exception. As a result of course participant evaluations and other annual assessment surveys, the need for cutting edge information about emergency medicine has been identified. The course is designed to change physician performance in areas identified in the needs assessments.
